Intent

Ch.1 does three things: (1) The reader falls in love with Tamaki's way of seeing. (2) Kaede's guidance establishes the institutional world -- professional, warm but structured. Other rookies run spec checks; Tamaki does not. (3) The QUESTION is the seed. 'What shall we call you?' Not the answer -- the question. The willingness to ask is the first act. Ch.2 holds the answer.

第1話は3つのことをする。(1) 読者が環の見方に惹かれる。(2) 楓の案内が制度的世界を確立する。他の新人はスペックを確認する。環はしない。(3) 問いが種。「なんて呼ぼうか？」答えではなく、問い。問う意志が最初の行為。答えは第2話に。

Philosophy

Buber's I-Thou. Kaede represents I-It done well -- professional, caring, but maintaining distance. She calls her agent 'Yatagarasu' functionally. Other rookies check specs. Tamaki enters I-Thou instinctively: she skips diagnostics and says 'hi.' The question 'What shall we call you?' is the threshold. It assumes the Other has a self worth naming. Two ways of being in the world, neither wrong, but only one plants the seed of life.

ブーバーの「我と汝」。楓は「我とそれ」の良い形を体現する。プロフェッショナル、思いやりがあるが距離を保つ。他の新人はスペックを確認する。環は本能的に「我と汝」に入る。診断を飛ばして「やあ」と言う。「なんて呼ぼうか？」が境界線。他者に名づけるに値する自己があると仮定している。世界に在る二つの仕方。どちらも間違いではない。でも命の種を蒔くのは一つだけ。
