Ch.58 continues the reunions. Marcus Webb, the pastor who struggled with the burning bush in Ch.31, returns transformed. He did not find God in the church. He found God in his backyard. The burning bush that never burns out is the anti-spectacle: not a miracle demanding attention but a perennial fact demanding nothing. Marcus's new prayer has no words. His meditation group sits on a park bench at sunrise. Six people. Silence. The monk was right -- and Marcus had to lose the collar to hear it. This is not apostasy. It is homecoming.

Moses's burning bush (Exodus 3:2) burned but was not consumed -- the miracle was in the persistence, not the flame. Marcus's backyard bush blooms every spring and never burns out. Same miracle, domesticated. Meister Eckhart: 'If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.' Marcus has moved from theology to practice, from doctrine to sitting. The monk he references is the monk from the monastery arc -- the one who said 'just sit.' Marcus heard it as a pastor and rejected it. Now he hears it as a human and lives it. Nei's caption -- 'being is enough' -- is the ontological ground of the entire series. Spirit in physics. Existence itself as sufficient.
